About the Role
Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Operational Manager to lead services at Umlazi D Primary Health Care clinic. This leadership position is essential for delivering comprehensive PHC services, quality improvement, and the implementation of national health priorities and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive PHC service package, including quality improvement programs.
- Develop, monitor, and report on Facility Operational Plans and DPQR.
- Lead clinical audits and implement corrective quality improvements.
- Supervise community outreach teams and manage reporting.
- Promote patient safety, efficient complaint resolution, and reduced waiting times.
- Ensure effective resource utilization (HR, finances, vehicles, and assets)
- Oversee HR processes, including EPMDS, performance monitoring, and staff discipline.
- Uphold Batho Pele principles and maintain Ideal Clinic and National Core Standards.
- Coordinate health promotion activities and health calendar programs.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and support Sukuma Sakhe and intersectoral collaboration.
- Monitor and update health information systems (HPRS, TIER, DHIS, EVDS)
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing (SANC registration required)
- 1-year Post-Basic Qualification in Primary Health Care (Curative Skills) accredited by SANC.
- Proof of SANC registration as a Professional Nurse.
- Proof of registration for the Post-Basic PHC qualification.
- Minimum of 9 years of nursing experience post-SANC registration.
- At least 5 years of post-PHC qualification experience.
